Our Nursery day

Term Time:

session times  

Breakfast

(3-4-year olds)

8am to 9am

Children are collected by a member of staff at the entrance.

Morning

(2-year-olds)

9am to 12 noon

  • At the start of session, come just inside the green gate. A member of staff will collect your child and take them to the 2-year-olds' room
  • after some quiet time and a snack, the 2-year-olds get ready and go into the main nursery space, where we have free-flow learning through play, with structured activities. Read more about this on the Teaching and Learning page
  • at around 11.35am it is Tidy Up Time
  • at around 11.45am the 2-year-olds go back to their room for story time
  • At the end of the session,  wait outside the green gate. The staff will bring your child to you.

Morning

(3-4-year olds)

  • At the start of session, come in the green gate, turn left, park scooters or bikes and go down the left-hand side of the building next to the Walthamstow School for Girls car park and into the garden. Wait in the garden with your child. Exit via the same path.
  • soon after the start of the session the nursery doors to the garden are opened, and we have free-flow learning through play, with structured activities. Read more about this on the Teaching and Learning page
  • at around 11.35am it is Tidy Up Time
  • at around 11.45am children go into their Story Groups (cheetahs, zebras, crocodiles or elephants) and have story time
  • At the end of the session,  collect at 12 noon, and exit down the side of the building by Walthamstow School for Girls, collecting bikes or scooters as you leave.

Afternoon

(2-year-olds)

1pm to 4pm
