Getting there

The best ways to come to Church Hill are on foot, by bike or scooter. We have an excellent scooter park:

scooters hanging on a pole which is attached to the wall, about ten cm out

BUS

The bus and stops closest to Church Hill are:

  • the 212: get off at either stop S or stop T on Church Hill Road
  • the 34, 97, 215 or 357: get off at stop G or stop J on Hoe Street

UNDERGROUND

London Underground Victoria Line, Walthamstow Central Station is the end of the line.

At the top of the escalator, take the stairs ahead of you; at the top of the stairs turn left, walk along the rail platform to the exit and go through the ticket barriers.

From the Ticket Hall, walk up the ramp to the right. At the top of the ramp, you will be in Selborne Road.

Keep walking straight ahead until you reach the junction with Hoe Street. Use the crossings first to cross Selborne Road towards the Goose pub, and then to cross Hoe Street.

Go down the steps or the ramp and keep going straight ahead along St Mary Road. Take the third road on the left, Folkestone Road, then the first road on the right, Woodbury Road. Church Hill is in the corner of the dog-leg which is Woodbury Road. 

OVERGROUND

By rail, take the Chingford line from London Liverpool Street Station, leave at Walthamstow Central Station. From Liverpool Street, go down the stairs signposted to the Tube, then, with the escalators on your left, go up the stairs on the right. From here or if you are coming from Chingford, follow the exit signs and then follow the UNDERGROUND instructions above from the Ticket Hall.

CAR

The closest reliable parking is in the nearby shopping centre.

Getting there

BUS

The bus and stops closest to Low Hall are:

  • the 58 and the 158: get off at either stop J or stop N on Markhouse Road
  • the W19: get off at stop J, the corner of Markhouse Road and Markhouse Avenue

UNDERGROUND

London Underground Victoria Line, Walthamstow Central Station is the end of the line.

At the top of the escalator, take the stairs ahead of you; at the top of the stairs turn left, walk along the rail platform to the exit and go through the ticket barriers.

From the Ticket Hall, walk up the ramp to the left. At the top of the ramp, you will be in Selborne Road.

Use the crossings to cross Selborne Road towards the Bus Station, then turn left and cross towards the shopping centre.

Keep going down Selborne Road until you meet traffic lights. Use the crossing to cross back over Selborne Road, and go under the railway bridge on to South Grove.

Follow the road round until you come to a mini roundabout. Turn left into Markhouse Road.

Continue on Markhouse Road to the second zebra crossing, and cross here. You be next to the Low Hall fence. Continue to the left on Markhouse Road, then take the first right down Low Hall Lane. The gate to Low Hall is just after the houses on the right.

OVERGROUND

By rail, take the Chingford line from London Liverpool Street Station, leave at St James Street Station. Go down the stairs, out on to St James Street, and turn left.

Follow St James Street as it turns the corner, then cross at the zebra crossing. Continue to the mini-roundabout, then turn right into Markhouse Road.

Carry on down Markhouse Road, past the Low Hall fence on the right, until you meet Low Hall Lane. The gate to Low Hall is just after the houses on the right.

CAR

At Low Hall, visitors may be able to park in the car park of the Ferguson Centre next door, however spaces are extremely limited.
